The ISO Group has been an innovative company since it was founded in 2002.
This is not only noticed by the grower who appreciates the machines of ISO Group in daily use and in the process of growing flowers and plants, but also by organizations and trade fairs that appreciate the ISO Group for the innovative strength of the new machines brought to the market by ISO Group.
Since the start of the GreenTech in 2014, the machines have been nominated by the jury for the GreenTech Innovation Award at every edition of the GreenTech. But ISO Group is also appreciated across borders for the innovative machines that are produced.
Below you will find an overview of the 7 machines of ISO Group that have been appreciated over the years by the various juries of the GreenTech but also by magazines with an award or nomination for the unique technology that ISO Group applies in its machines.
Winner GreenTech Innovation Award 2020
ISO Grade 8000 (Winner GreenTech Innovation Award 2020)
In the last (virtual) edition of the GreenTech in 2020, ISO Group was also nominated for the GreenTech Innovation Award.
The ISO Grade 8000 is the youngest sorting machine from ISO Group. The ISO Grade 8000 is also the best example of how the cooperation between the partners Robovision and ISO Group can lead to an innovative machine. The ISO Grade 8000 grades on the basis of a 3D image that is made of a young plant. The plant is assessed and analyzed on the basis of Robovision's artificial intelligence software and using the ISO Group gripper techniques, the young plant is moved from the source tray to the target tray.
In the jury report, the jury particularly praised the collaboration between ISO Group and Robovision. By working together and strengthening each other, ISO Group has developed a machine that distinguishes itself from the existing segment of sorting machines.
Nominee GreenTech Innovation Award 2019
ISO Bulb Planting System (Nominee GreenTech Innovation Award 2019)
Also in 2019, ISO Group was nominated by the jury appointed by GreenTech for in Innovation Awards.
In 2019 there were 4 categories Innovation, Sustainability, Impact and Concept. The ISO Bulb Planting System was nominated in the Innovation category. The ISO Bulb Planting System is the first system that makes it possible to automatically plant (tulip) bulbs. The system that, partly thanks to Robovision's 3D Vision and Artificial Intelligence technology, makes it possible to assess the bulbs, so that the robot arms in the machine can pick up the bulbs and place them in the correct way.
Winner Technology of the year Award 2018
ISO Cutting Planter 2500 (Winner Greenhouse Grower Technology of the Year Award 2018)
In 2018, the American Greenhouse Grower magazine created the Technology of the Year Award for the first time. The nominees and winners were announced at the Cultivate trade show in Columbus, Ohio, USA.
The Technology of the Year Award was added this year for the first time to the Greenhouse Grower's Medal of Excellence program, which is organized annually to reward and put in the spotlight to growers and new plant varieties.
With the Technology of the Year Award, there is also room for suppliers to horticulture who are honored for innovative and groundbreaking technologies.
The special thing about this award is that the nominees and the winner are not determined by a jury, but by the growers. This makes the award special because the grower himself indicates which innovation will really help him and change the industry for the grower.
Greenhouse Grower magazine has asked growers through a survey and a poll which technology will change the market. The ISO Cutting Planter 2500 emerged as the winner. The ISO Cutting Planter 2500 makes it possible to insert young, unrooted cuttings fully automatically into a tray or pot. A task that until recently has always been a manual operation.

De ISO Cutting Planter 2500 maakt het mogelijk om volledig automatisch jonge onbewortelde stek in een tray of pot te steken. Een taak die tot voor kort altijd een handmatige handeling is geweest.

ISO Robot Plug Planting machine (Nominee GreenTech Innovation Award 2018)
The innovation awards were also organized by the GreenTech in 2018.
This year there were prizes in 4 categories: Innovation, Sustainability, Impact and Concept. The ISO Robot Plug Planting machine was nominated in the categories Innovation and Impact.
The ISO Robot Plug Planting Machine is the first machine developed by ISO Group on which a robot is placed on a moving platform. The robot makes it possible to plant plugs with young plants in the open ground. Until now, it was not possible for the Lisianthus growers to perform the planting automatically. This is possible with the help of the ISO Robot Plug Planting machine, making heavy and labor-intensive operations a thing of the past. The ISO Robot Plug Planting machine places the plugs in the growth mesh in the greenhouse, apart from the automation, the plug is also planned more neatly and always at the correct depth.

ISO PlantSampler (Winner GreenTech Innovation Award 2016 (Categorie Production))
In 2016, the ISO Group was nominated for the GreenTech Innovation Award for the first in the history of GreenTech with 2 machines.
Both the ISO PlantSampler and the ISO Cutting and Planting 1800 machine were nominated by the jury in the Production category.
The ISO PlantSampler was chosen as the winner in the Production category.
The ISO PlantSampler makes it possible for breeders and research institutes to automatically take samples from young plants. Using 3D technology and robotics, the labor-intensive process of manually sampling young plants for DNA sequencing can be automated. This makes the sampling process less prone to errors and more reliable.
Nominee GreenTech Innovation Award 2016
ISO Cutting and Planting 1800 (Nominee GreenTech Innovation Award 2016)
In the 2016 edition of GreenTech, in addition to the ISO PlantSampler, the ISO Cutting and Planting 1800 machine was also nominated in the Production category.
The ISO Cutting and Planting 1800 machine makes it possible to cut and stick (pot) roses automatically. With the ISO Cutting and Planting 1800, two separate operations are combined in one machine. The operator hangs a vine in the machine and this is processed by the machine into cuttings and these are then immediately planted in the pot where the cuttings can grow into a pot rose.

ISO Graft 1100 (Genomineerd GreenTech Innovation Award 2014)
In the first edition of the GreenTech in 2014, ISO Group was nominated for the GreenTech Innovation Award.
The ISO Graft 1100 was the second automatic grafting machine that ISO Group brought to the market. The ISO Grade 1100 is the successor to the ISO Grade 1200. The ISO Grade 1100 was a cheaper alternative to the ISO Grade 1200 and is more flexible in terms of the tray to be used and can therefore be used more flexibly.
